Tareq Maayta

My mortgage career started in 2014 when I joined Finance USA Corporation as a Junior Loan Processor. At the time, I didn't know much about the mortgage industry. What I did know was that I wanted to learn.

I spent years understanding every part of the loan process, working my way from Junior Processor to Loan Processor and getting firsthand experience with what it takes to get a loan from application to closing. As I grew, I wanted a bigger role helping clients directly. I completed my NMLS education, passed my licensing exam, and became a Loan Officer.

I kept pushing to learn and grow, and in 2021 I became Managing Director of Finance USA Corporation. Today I lead a team of loan officers, and the company lends across 9 states and Washington, DC and has been helping homebuyers for more than 20 years. The mission is simple: help people become homeowners and build long-term wealth through real estate.

One reason I like working with first-time buyers is that I remember what it's like not knowing how any of it works. Most buyers feel overwhelmed by the terms, the paperwork, and the conflicting advice. My job is to simplify it, answer questions honestly, and explain things in plain English.

Over the years I've worked with every kind of borrower. First-time buyers, move-up buyers, investors, military families, and first-generation homebuyers. Buying your first home and building a real estate portfolio are different goals, but the same belief runs under both: owning property is one of the strongest tools there is for financial stability.
